We have identified land in the Kangra Valley, 8km from Palampur, HP, in
the foothills of the Himalayas, giving a beautiful panoramic view of
snow-capped mountains on one side and a smaller valley on the other.
If we are ever to see the Kritayuga on earth, we have to bring it into
existence – it will not come by waiting!
This is the time – and this land is the place – where it all begins.
We intend to create in this beautiful place a ‘heaven on earth’ which all
the scriptures of the earth speak about – and a community, a family, of
loving people living in peace with everyone and in harmony with nature.
Yes, call it a ‘Utopia’ – but it is love that makes a ‘Utopia’ –
politically and socially just, no corruption, economically sound and sharing
– based on a ‘balance’ between nature and modern technology – and
ecologically friendly.
It will be a village-style community – no matter how large it grows –
with human values, a respect for nature, and love for god, providing
solutions for poverty, unemployment, homelessness, and the social and
relationship issues that so often plague the modern world.
It will be a place for all races, religions, male and female, children
and aged – a place of physical healing and spiritual development – of
equality between all.
It will be a ‘model’ for the rest of India – and the world – to follow!
Can you visualize – or even imagine – such a place? Yet, how very much
needed - and possible - because, deep inside everyone there is a desire, a
wish, a hope for a place such as this!
Our sadguru – Sri Padma Ananda – whose vision this is, is a Westerner and
a former Tibetan monk and a bhakta. He has been associated with Mahavatar
Babaji, and other ‘immortals’ for many years, and himself has a ‘diamond
body’.
Not only will this place be a ‘heaven on earth’, it will also see many
miracles, and a technique – based on bhakti – to heal the sick and slow down
the ageing process.
Recently Sri Padma Ananda was in Delhi where he healed HIV and AIDS
victims and cancer patients and says that even death itself is simply a
curable disease.
‘Control of breath plus correct diet and lifestyle can extend human life
indefinitely’.
He says that the fastest breathing creature is a mayfly, and its lifespan
is only 24 hours, yet the giant turtle, which breathes only four times a
minute, lives over 350 years.
‘A human being breathes 18 times a minute and lives 85-95 years. Bring
this down to 16 breaths a minute and you will live 120-140 years.
‘Bring it down to 12 breaths a minute and you will live 150-180 years’.
But does this mean it is possible for human beings to live forever?
Yes, says Ananda,
‘There are human beings on this planet right now who are several hundred
and even thousands of years of age - Mahavtar Babaji for example, who is
known to be over 1,800 years of age’.
It was Mahavtar Babaji who advised Sri Padma Ananda to go to Palampur to
find land for an ashram and a healing stream. An all night discussion with
Mahavtar Babaji was so animated and loud, it was heard by others in the
hotel.
‘The Bible is full of examples of people who have lived several hundred
to over 1,000 years. Today we are so used to living short lives of 60 to 90
years we think that is normal and natural – it is not’.

But wouldn’t the possibility of living forever only add to the problems
of overpopulation and the ailments of old age in India?
‘No It would bring in principles of spiritual living. A spiritual way of
life would automatically resolve practical problems of economics, corruption
in political life and over population.
‘The reason you have these problems is because the rich spiritual
heritage of India has been put aside’.
Ananda believes that the spiritual riches of India should be invested in
the practical problems that India has. There is famine at times in India but
India has never had a shortage of food.
It always has three times the amount of grain needed to feed the entire
population of India. Famine in India is caused by political greed, ignorance
and lack of concern, not by shortage of food.
‘As for the ailments of old age, I am not advocating a mere extension of
life or longevity’ says Ananda ‘I am talking about slowing down the aging
process.
‘This means you should be active and look 50 years of age when you are
200 years of age, instead of looking 200 when you are only 50 years.
‘For example my face is 55-60 years old, my body is half that but my age
in years is far more than either. I am a living, active example of what I
teach – I have an immortal body or Diamond Body.
‘We met another swami in Palampur who looks 30 years old but is closer
600 years. If it is possible for one person to live to such an age, it is
possible for all’.
Of course, our ‘heaven on earth’ cannot come about without money. We
already own the land, yet there is much more to do. As the buildings
rise, one by one, and the land blooms, so hope will arise and happiness will
bloom in the hearts of those who choose to be a part of it.
What we create here will be a ‘beacon on a hill’, a sign post to the
future – peace, harmony, and love, will be seen to be possible – the
dissolution of hunger, poverty, and enmity, will be seen as a fact – and
co-operation rather than competition will be the Jewel In The Lotus – Om
Mani Padme Hum – through bhakti, and by the grace of our sadguru Sri Padma
Ananda.
Will you join us – help us begin to build a new world here, now, in this
place – and offer your labour, your time, money, but, most of all your love?
